Reference Quotes
I have comprehensive references available for anyone who might be interested.
To Potential Future Employers,
Scott Ingram worked with us at the Gospel Broadcasting Network for seven years, during which time he was not only a co-worker but also a friend. Scott contributed in various capacities, but his direct interaction with me involved setting up new studios and managing the GBN website and app.
Scott played a crucial role in establishing new studios. His technical knowledge of camera
systems, lighting, and recording equipment was truly impressive. He demonstrated a deep understanding of these technologies, often recalling intricate details from memory without needing to reference physical equipment or manuals. His ability to troubleshoot, train new operators, and provide follow-up support after studio installations was invaluable to us.
Scott also played a key role in managing our website and app, making significant improvements to their structure and organization. He designed and implemented a new hierarchical layout to better manage the hundreds of media assets we uploaded regularly. His problem-solving skills and adaptability were exceptional—what he didn’t already know, he proactively researched and mastered. His ability to self-teach and stay ahead of evolving technology speaks volumes about his dedication and resourcefulness, far exceeding conventional academic training.
Moreover, Scott exhibited a strong commitment to responsiveness and reliability. He consistently made himself available to assist with urgent issues, responding to calls, texts, and emails even outside of regular working hours—a quality I deeply appreciate and respect.
If you are looking for a keenly sharp technical mind, Scott is that person.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any further questions.
Sincerely,
To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is written to formally recommend Scott Ingram. Scott Ingram started working
at the Gospel Broadcasting Network in 2018 and has for the last 7 years been integral
to our work at GBN. I have worked closely with Scott as a co-worker and supervisor
during my entire 7-year employment. In his tenure at GBN, Scott has repeatedly been
asked to take over areas which needed work. Each time Scott has not only taken up the
task but then researched the needs and excelled at improving each area of GBN’s
operations. He has managed dozens of projects for us in his 7 years.
During Scott’s tenure at GBN, one of his significant contributions was the overhaul of
our editing workflow around the time he revamped our template schedule and
transitioned us to HD programming. Scott meticulously analyzed our processes and
presented compelling evidence to the management team, demonstrating that our editing team was redundantly re-editing content that was already broadcast-ready. His
investigation revealed that this practice was consuming about 2 days of editor time per
week, which was wasteful duplication of effort. Scott’s findings led to a policy change
that freed up approximately 2,496 employee hours annually since 2020. This translates
into substantial financial savings for GBN, likely in the hundreds of thousands of dollars
over the past 5 years. Following his recommendations, we established the role of a Broadcast Traffic Manager to handle quality checks on external productions, a role
initially filled by others, and eventually by Scott himself alongside his other duties.
In 2018, Scott was on the small team that took over the GBN Facebook which had
around 3,000 likes. Over those last 6 years, Scott oversaw and implemented our
Facebook Marketing and Advertising Campaigns. During this time, Scott worked
tirelessly during normal business hours and many times late into the night studying,
researching, reading books, and attending marketing conferences to improve his craft.
Our page now has 258,000 likes and 270,000 followers.
Scott has also excelled in project management and marketing with our app
development as well. The GBN App under Scott’s content management has grown from
28k downloads in 2018 to 115k installs in 2024. So far in 2025 we are on pace to
eclipse previous years in downloads and set a new #1 year for installs as we have been
doing each year since 2020, and our organic projections prior to marketing predict we
will grow by another 28k before ad spend.
Aside from marketing and project management, Scott has also been an invaluable resource in many other roles. Scott for years leaned into a production role and produced both live and pre-recorded programs in our studio. Scott constantly was a part of the GBN Brand Management Strategy and development.
Beyond this, Scott was instrumental in other areas: He authored standard operating procedures, trained employees on production and editing techniques, and assisted in crafting job descriptions which enhanced our
operational efficiency. His consultation with other professional companies improved our
distribution and marketing strategies. Scott maintained crucial relationships with Google
Ads, Meta, and X.com, and provided valuable insights into legal documents, aiding our
corporate decisions, partnerships, and business strategies.
Scott also took on a public relations role, managing our info email for a couple of years.
He handled inquiries, coordinated community engagement, and even answered
complex Bible questions. His role as a speaker on one of our top-performing shows
further showcased his public speaking skills and leadership qualities, contributing
significantly to GBN’s community outreach and education efforts.
Looking back these all feel ironic considering Scott was hired because of his expertise
in Information Technology (IT). Scott has still had an IT role for us over the years but
has always stepped up and learned anything we needed him to in order to fill a gap in
our personnel. Scott has excelled in everything he has done and has an exceptionally unique skill set. I have never managed anyone with such a vast array of skills in many
different fields.
It is with great regret that our budget has forced us to eliminate this remote position. I
can confidently recommend that Scott Ingram will be a valuable addition to your team
and that you will not regret it.
Best regards,
Dear Scott,
It is my privilege to write this letter of recommendation for you as you seek your next opportunity. I cannot properly express the gratitude that I have for the seven years that we worked together at the Gospel Broadcasting Network. Though the time was cut short, your efforts will have a lasting impression on the organization, and we will be forever grateful for your contributions.
As someone responsible for overseeing IT at GBN, I have especially appreciated your contributions in this area. You have been key in modernizing a big portion of the operations here at GBN. Particularly, I’m reminded of the migration project from our old Florical System to the current Cinegy Playout system. Your research and input were instrumental in successfully transitioning to our new playout system, resulting in a more user-friendly operation. Additionally, your input on our long-term media storage strategy have proven to be cost effective and have resulted in significant direct savings to our IT budget. I am also reminded of your critical efforts during our network upgrade. Our transition from Cisco Miraki to Ubiquity was another successful project in which your knowledge was displayed. This only scratches the surface of your many contributions at GBN, but in all of your projects, you were thorough, thoughtful, and provided great insight to the team.
Moreover, your impact extended beyond IT into our content production processes. During your tenure at GBN, you significantly enhanced our operations by revising how we managed media from content partners. Particularly when you updated our programming schedule. Your detailed analysis of our production practices and presentation of your findings highlighted redundant efforts from our editors. Thanks to your efforts, we were able to be more efficient and productive as a company. This insight continues to drive improvements at GBN.
I would be remiss not to mention your commitment to the work at GBN. I know you have poured your heart and soul into the work here not only because of the strength you have in your field, but because of your desire to help the organization carry out its mission. I know that this is a characteristic that you feel strongly about because of your commitment to the Lord. Without hesitation, I highly recommend you for any role you pursue, knowing that you will bring the same dedication and excellence that you demonstrated at GBN.
I wish you all the best in your search and hope that if you need anything further from me that you will let me know.
Respectfully,
ScottEIngram.com
