Welcome

Some Examples

I was deeply invested in The Authentic Christian Podcast, a project that spanned a significant portion of my career. Alongside a talented team, I contributed to crafting its branding, designing the set, planning production, and shaping its marketing strategy. This experience was a blessing, allowing me to sharpen a wide range of professional skills—everything from video and audio editing to branding, public relations, web design, and mastering cameras and lighting. We poured countless hours into preparing the program and its seasons, with much of that effort dedicated to honing our craft and elevating our expertise.

I was responsible for designing the technical setup for studio spaces. In this image, you can see my former co-worker Tucker in the center, with the Executive Director of the Gospel Broadcasting Network in the background. A few volunteers are also pictured, whom I assisted by providing training and technical support over time.

The GBN Library encompasses a vast array of resources that is hard to visualize. Over time, I developed the graphics, web pages, and organizational framework for this publicly accessible on-demand library. I received books along with accompanying graphics at times; in other cases, I designed simple covers for them and curated hundreds of digital print materials.

Throughout the years, I assisted with cameras, audio equipment, editing tools, as well as setup and teardown. Additionally, I took on roles in technical directing and video editing for various large conferences that hosted over three thousand attendees.

I have also had the opportunity to speak publicly at various conferences over the years, including events like Polishing The Pulpit, youth conferences, and congregations throughout the Southeast. For years I answered most of the questions and comments that came into the Gospel Broadcasting Network. This included Bible questions and technical support.

For many years, long before I joined GBN, I had a passion for IT. It started in my childhood when I learned about websites, network security, and computer hardware. This foundation led me to attend technical school, where I took on various side jobs and personal projects over the years. While at GBN, I worked as an IT Analyst, addressing issues, researching solutions, and streamlining our existing processes to make them simpler and more efficient. Additionally, I gained considerable knowledge and experience with broadcast-specific technologies such as automation systems, broadcast scheduling, master control operations, and more.

When the previous senior producer left GBNLive, I was asked to take over the program. I arranged guest schedules, drafted topics and show notes, coordinated their travel plans, created standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each position, and managed the crew during the showtime. Additionally, I performed every role involved in producing the show, including technical directing, floor directing, producing, audio technology management, broadcast tech duties, and viewer services.

I began assisting with the GBN on-demand app towards the end of 2019. In the following five years, I contributed to redesigning the app’s layout and enhancing its user experience. Additionally, I took on responsibilities for managing the company’s overall marketing budget and advertising campaigns starting around that time. The app grew from 28,000 installs to over 115,000 installs.

I was part of a small team that took over the GBN Facebook account which had around 3,000 likes at the time. Over about 6 years, I was able to use advertising campaigns and coordinate content publishing to grow the page to 258,000 likes. I spent many hours learning, attending conferences, reading, and studying data.
